Creating the Parent Notebook

The larger your family is, the more critical organization is. To help you achieve this, we will be putting together a command central notebook.

You will need a three ring binder, hole punch, notebook dividers, and a calendar. The calendar tells which school week we are on. Beginning with number one, and starting with the first week of the year, write a number to the left of each week. A week consists of Monday through Friday, so if a new month begins on a Wednesday, that is still part the week that ended the previous month. Do not assign it a new number. When you are finished, you should have 51 to 52 weeks. Either punch holes in the calendar and put it in the notebook or if your notebook has a pocket, you can place it in there.

Print each of the following sections in order. For new home-schoolers, I recommend that you finish the notebook and read over everything, then begin actual schooling by adding one subject a day to each student’s schedule until they are completing the entire schedule.
